Jamie L. Gilmore, CP
Paralegal
Jamie brings more than 30 years of experience as a trust and estates paralegal. Her career has also included work in real estate sales and finance, the insurance industry, and internal auditing, giving her a unique perspective that complements her estate and trust administration experience. Jamie is particularly skilled at building complex spreadsheets to model and analyze tax scenarios. She also enjoys the investigative side of her work, including locating missing heirs and resolving intricate real property title and legal description issues that arise during trust and estate administration.
Jamie applies her advanced financial, accounting, and drafting skills to all aspects of her work, including the management of probate and trust administrations, preparation of estate and gift tax returns and accountings, and research on complex tax matters. She particularly values regular communication with clients and takes pride in providing consistent, thoughtful support throughout the process.
Outside of the office, Jamie is the organizer of a community-based ukulele group, sings in a community choir, and is a regular at her musician-husband’s gigs. Outside of music, she loves cooking, beeswax candle-making, and spending time with family and friends.
Jamie developed an interest in becoming a paralegal through the legal aspects of her work as a real estate contract analyst and auditor. In that role, she regularly collaborated with legal team members and performed legal analysis in connection with the audit reports she prepared. Inspired by that experience, she earned her paralegal certificate at UCLA. In 1992, shortly after completing the program, Jamie and her husband relocated from Los Angeles to Portland, where she began her career as a trust and estates paralegal.
