Shannon counsels individuals and families in the areas of estate and transfer tax planning, including business succession and charitable planning, and estate and trust administration, including probate and estate tax return preparation. She balances practical advice with creative approaches in collaborating with clients and their advisers to implement solutions tailored to address identified goals and anticipated needs. Shannon also advises trustees, personal representatives (executors) and other fiduciaries in estate administration matters.
PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
She taught as adjunct professor of law at Lewis & Clark Law School. Shannon served as a member of the Executive Committee for the Oregon State Bar Estate Planning and Administration Section, and a member of the Editorial Board of the Books and Media Committee of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Section and of the Oregon Estate Planning & Administration Section Newsletter, for which she authored articles.
Shannon is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale–Hubbell. She is ranked Band 1 in Chambers USA High Net Worth Guide for Private Wealth Law – Oregon, and has been listed in Super Lawyers – Oregon since 2011 for estate planning and probate.
