Carl is a dedicated, results-driven litigation attorney with experience handling a variety of disputes across commercial and civil ligation. Throughout his career, Carl has successfully delivered practical and efficient solutions for his clients, with experience in assisting in all stages of litigation from pre-suit investigation through discovery to trial preparation and beyond.
Carl approaches each case with his clients’ interests and goals at the forefront, combining thorough legal research with a deep understanding of his clients’ industries to develop effective legal strategies. His commitment to client service and his ability to handle a variety of cases with professionalism and confidence helps Carl tailor his approach to each unique matter.
Carl comes to Black Helterline after four years of experience in North Dakota. Most recently serving as the enforcement counsel for the securities department regulating financial professionals and litigating fraud on behalf of the citizens of the state. Prior to that Carl worked for the attorney general representing various state agencies and boards, in litigation and as their general counsel. A proud Oregonian, Carl is excited to be back in his beautiful home state where he enjoys spending time outside, with family and friends, and hunting for the best pastries in Portland.
